We have two riverfront locations - Bucktail near Lewiston and Steel Bridge, near Douglas City - and five distinctly different cabins, with a sixth coming this fall. It will be our smallest and one of our coolest cabins. Click here to see the Trout Cabin.

Steel Bridge Cabins: Alpen Glow
"Couldn't have been better. We loved the big kitchen, deck and river for our dogs!"
"We have great, fond memories." George & Ellen Freedman/Family Reunion 8/2008

Our largest and grandest cabin, Alpen Glow is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom A frame with several beds tucked throughout. It has everything you can imagine: The huge master bedroom/loft looks out on the river, forest and mountains. It has a California King log bed, a romantic Jacuzzi tub and wood stove with firewood; a private bathroom with shower and a private balcony. A queen futon is along the railing overlooking the living room and there is also a small daybed for small adults or kids.
The second bedroom has a very nice day bed with a trundle bed below that can be used by itself or raised to the day bed's height to make a king-sized bed.
The main floor bath room is next door and it has a glass-enclosed tub with shower.
The spacious living room features a large sectional couch, fireplace and leather recliner; all of the sliding glass doors to the enormous riverfront deck have river, mountain and forest views.
The well-appointed kitchen has a cooking and butcher block island; oven; microwave; dishwasher; large side-by-side refigerator with filtered water and ice maker; and a large pantry. The country pine dining set seats up to 10 and there is an additional dining set on the deck. In the summer, a shade enclosure is set up on the deck.
The mudroom is perfect for fishers to leave their gear to dry; it has a washer and dryer.

The ride down the river was the best. Delicious food. This is heaven."

Wood stove with firewood in the living room. Leather couch and loveseat and an oak twin captain's bed for extra guests.

It has a double captain's bed with drawers in the base and a wicker chair. Blue-washed rustic walls , hand-rubbed aqua and pink fresco coloring on the door and window trim and purple and lilac bedding add to the fun of this little cabin, as do the antique bottles that include a very old and un-opened
bottle of champagne. Dragonfly has three windows; one looks out on trees and ivy, one looks out on a small fenced area and one looks out on
the lawn, trees and the Trinity River.

Steel Bridge: Miner's Cabin
"The Miner's Cabin was great! Very romantic; we'll be back."
Kevin & Sherry Spaise/Kihei, HI

A fully restored miner's cabin and then some. Compared with camping, this is grand. Compared with a grand hotel, this is camping. This fantastic little cabin is mere feet from the ATrinity. These shots above ar side by side views from the incredibly cool, covered porch, which has two chairs and a table. In its own private grove of trees, the Miner's is a romantic nod to the past. It's the kind of place you'll take a bunch of pictures of to show off to friends when you get home. There's a loft with a queen bed, an oak twin captain's bed/couch in the living room that can sleep 1 additional guest, a double rocker, small dining set and it's richly appointed with antiques. Minimal kitchen (sink, toaster oven, coffee maker; microwave by request). There is cookware, dining ware and serving ware, and bathroom (toilet/shower). We can supply a cooler with some ice. Guests may use the BBQ located between Alpen Glow and the Carriage House (about a minute's walk through the trees).
