Here are our Trinity River Steel Bridge Cabins:
Alpen Glow

"Renting all four cabins [at our Steel Bridge location] was perfect. We had plenty of space and privacy at the same time, having the two kitchens helped as well, the patio was a perfect space to hang out, the river gorgeous, the fact we could have the dogs, the Alpen Glow kitchen really well stocked... I could go on and on! The place was incredible, the rates reasonable, you two were gracious hosts. Thanks again." Robin Pagliuco/Eureka, CA

Our largest and grandest cabin, Alpen Glow is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom A frame with several beds tucked throughout. Steel Bridge: Miner's Cabin

7/14/2011: "Great. Clean. Beautiful. We loved the cabin. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our time here." Tatiana Elliston/Belmont, CA

A fully restored miner's cabin and then some. Compared with camping, this is grand. Compared with a grand hotel, this is camping. This fantastic little cabin is mere feet from the Trinity River. It has an incredibly cool, covered porch, which has two chairs and a table and looks out on great steelhead riffles.

In its own private grove of trees, the Miner's is a romantic nod to the past. It's the kind of place you'll take a bunch of pictures of to show off to friends when you get home. There's a loft with a queen bed; an oak twin captain's bed/couch in the living room that can sleep 1 additional guest; a double rocker; a small dining set; and it's richly appointed with antiques.

Dunsmuir Alpine Ski & Fish Haus
Steph and I got the idea to get a place in Dunsmuir because we enjoy skiing Shasta so much. Since a lot of our guests at our river cabins on the Trinity come to fish, and we know they also fish the Upper Sac, we figured those two sports would make Dunsmuir a natural for another vacation rental.

Dunsmuir Accommodations:

Alpine Fish & Ski Haus has 3 bedrooms; 2 bathrooms; a full laundry room; mud room for fishing and ski gear;
lots of space for gear; a wonderful kitchen; and a nice & private patio and yard.
There is a stairway at the front that leads to the mud room and main floor with living, kitchen, dining, master bedroom
(with the trout lights!) and full bathroom. At street level, there is another door that leads to the tiled entry, two bedrooms, laundry
room and second full bath.

This house is set up very nicely for a maximum of 6 guests, who can all sleep in separate beds.
It has a four poster queen bed with trout lights dancing around the canopy frame, an antique wrought iron and brass double bed,
a double futon, a day bed and a trundle bed. The day bed and trundle can be set up together making a king-sized bed.
Dunsmuir is a fun place to stay while fishing the Upper Sacramento River; skiing, boarding or climbing Mount Shasta;
exploring Siskiyou County; and discovering Dunsmuir itself.
We offer free late checkouts on Sundays for weekend skiers, fishers & visitors!

Go to our Dunsmuir page for lodging rates & more details.
