Alpen Glow
"Renting all four cabins [at our Steel Bridge location] was perfect. We had plenty of space and privacy at the same time, having the two kitchens helped as well, the patio was a perfect space to hang out, the river gorgeous, the fact we could have the dogs, the Alpen Glow kitchen really well stocked... I could go on and on!
The place was incredible, the rates reasonable, you two were gracious hosts. This was the best weekend-away I have planned so far, I think! We'd love to talk again about January, we have some more birthdays coming up, and would love to make this our summer retreat spot . What can I say, we had a blast!!! Thanks again." Robin Pagliuco/Eureka, CA
Our largest and grandest cabin, Alpen Glow is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom A frame with several beds tucked throughout. It has everything you can imagine: The huge Master Loft looks out on the river, forest and mountains. It has a California King log bed, a romantic Jacuzzi tub and wood stove with firewood; a private bathroom with shower and a private balcony. A queen futon is along the railing overlooking the living room and there is also a small daybed for small adults or kids.
The River Loft has the best view from a bed anywhere in the world, looking out on the mountains and sky and down on the river and lawn. The main floor bedroom has two twin beds.
The main floor bath room is next door and it has a glass-enclosed tub with shower.
The spacious living room features a large sectional couch, fireplace and leather recliner; all of the sliding glass doors to the enormous riverfront deck have river, mountain and forest views. NEW 2010: Hardwood floors throughout the dining/living/hall areas. The well-appointed kitchen has a brand new tiled floor; a cooking and butcher block island; oven; microwave; dishwasher; large side-by-side refigerator with filtered water and ice maker; and a large pantry. The ride down the river was the best. Delicious food. This is heaven." Sandy Schupe/Manteca, CA

Wood stove with firewood in the living room. Leather couch and loveseat and an oak twin captain's bed for extra guests.

A fully restored miner's cabin and then some. Compared with camping, this is grand. Compared with a grand hotel, this is camping. This fantastic little cabin is mere feet from the Trinity River. It has an incredibly cool, covered porch, which has two chairs and a table and looks out on great steelhead riffles.
In its own private grove of trees, the Miner's is a romantic nod to the past. It's the kind of place you'll take a bunch of pictures of to show off to friends when you get home. There's a loft with a queen bed; an oak twin captain's bed/couch in the living room that can sleep 1 additional guest; a double rocker; a small dining set; and it's richly appointed with antiques.
Minimal kitchen:sink, toaster oven, coffee maker; Weber BBQ outside (gas BBQ up on main patio between Alpen Glow & Carriage House). There is cookware, dining ware and serving ware. Dorm-sized refrigerator, plus we supply a huge cooler with frozen gallon water bottles. The bathroom features a roomy shower with the toilet in it (like you see in some trailers).
Rates~Miner's Cabin: Up to 2 Guests; Absolute maximum of 4 Guests and no small children; $10 extra for each additional guest per night
Memorial Day Weekend-January 31: $115.00 per night for 1-2 nights/$105.00 for 3 nights or more
